What is SASC SI 05?
SASC SI 05 means Summer Institute 2005. It is a summer program for Southeast Asian high school YOUTH. It provides an encouraging and empowering learning environment at UC Berkeley for a FREE full week! Students stay in the dorms, eat free, do workshops, read/write poetry, and learn about their cultures and histories. They are paired up with mentors (1:2 ratio) who help them develop their ideas, questions, and jus’ plain ol’ listen to them!
This is SASC’s FOURTH year hosting the program. And we hope to continue it in the future!!!
How can I help if I cannot attend?
* We kindly appreciate all donations! SASC is funded by campus grants, fundraising, and donations! If you would like to donate, please contact Nancy Le at nancytle@berkeley.edu
